Symptoms

44 year-old male with recently reduced dislocation of the 1st CMC joint

Diagnosis

Partial tear of the volar oblique ligament (white arrows). The volar oblique ligament, also known as the volar or palmar beak ligament, runs from the volar aspect of the trapezium to the volar beak of the base of the 1st metacarpal, stabilizing the 1st CMC joint.
