Symptoms

16 year-old male with knee pain two weeks status post hyperextension injury playing football.

Diagnosis

Salter Harris III fracture. Axial T2-weighted, coronal STIR, and coronal proton density images, respectively, demonstrate the fracture extending through the growth plate and epiphysis of the distal femur (white arrows).
