Symptoms

39 year-old female with history of old external fixation placed into calcaneus, now with left heel pain.

Diagnosis

Brodie’s abscess with associated calcaneal osteomyelitis as seen on sagittal fat-suppressed T2 (black arrow), sagittal T1 (black arrowhead), and sagittal post-gadolinium fat-suppressed T1 (white arrow) images.
